"of a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the said
County of Lee on both sides of the Powels River including the long
bottom which tract or parcel of Land as patented in the name of John
Breckinridge and Robert Preston by Grant from the Commonwealth of
Virginia bearing date the 25th day of March 1791 and containing nine
hundred acres and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning on the north
Bank of the said river at the junction of the three forks of the said
river".
In my next email I will discuss this land purchase and Zachariah's
distribution of this land to his son's Jacob, Robert and Thomas.
Also over the next few weeks I will be discussing each of Zachariah's
children and relate what documentation there is for their time in Lee
County, Virginia.
