I guess it is time I let everyone on this list know that the final results
are in from the phase I portion of the Wells DNA study. The BYU results
are now complete and can be viewed along with 43 samples from Relative
Genetics (total of 165 results last count).
You will want to look at page 7 of the results
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wellsfam/dnaproje/results7.html
You are looking for the 7th to 11th entries on the page where the family is
identified as "20".
For anyone who still clings to the idea that the parents of Zachariah Wells
were Richard Wells and Ann "Nancy" Brown, have a look at page 5 near the
bottom - family "8" and compare the numbers. There is just no way
genetically they are related.
You will notice that families 16 (Aaron Wells/Ruth Wiggins of Mason Co.,KY)
and 28 (Robert Wells) from PA to Mason Co., KY and later Claremont Co.,
Ohio have EXACTLY the same pattern (although Robert Wells' descendents have
a 15 at DYS437 while everyone else in the extended family has a 16). You
are all related. The challenge is going to be to find out how and who the
common ancestor was.
