Hi Fran, I will certainly let you know if I get any info which links to your
Frederick. My Frederick was by way of George GOSS of Pilton, was b 1883 in
Gateshead and married Margaret RUBY. He was a schoolmaster and died when 102
yrs, 1986. I have a Philip b 1768, Combemartin. I have not got all his
family. The majority of my line were shipbuilders/ships carpenters or
mariners. There may be other surprises but they have yet to be found.
Regards, Merv.

If the Frederick Goss in the 1881 census (in Cardiff) is the same as
mine,
then
he was born in Burrington, Devon. His elder sister was born in
Tavistock;
a
younger brother in Shirwell and finally the youngest sibling in
Cardiff,
Wales. If you come across this family in your researches, I'd appreciate
it
if
you'd let me know. Thanks.
Fran
