Depending how old your mother was when she moved, it is possible that she
completed her schooling at Townhill, as it started I think as an elementary
school that went through to school leaving age at 14, and not everyone
transferred to another school. Mass transfer at age 11 was not completely
introduced until well after WW2. Glanmor Girls Grammar School or the Girls
Secondary Technical School, or maybe Llwynybryn. Don't know dates that each
started.
Some of the ladies on the list may know.

Subject: [Swansea] TOWNHILL SCHOOL
Hello everyone,
My mother and her parents moved to Swansea about 1924 and as the family
lived in Taliesyn Road I am wondering if it likely that she attended
Townhill Primary School (if that is the right name for it) and what High
School she may have attended.
Does anyone know if there is information available for past students and,
if so, where I might go to find it.
As an aside, she attended Madame Parsley's Dancing Academy and if any
other lister knows of a relative who may also have attended, I have a
concert programme for 1926 in which I could check for names.
Hoping someone can help me.
Regards,
Jan Shaw,
Melbourne, Oz.
