Hi Jeff, Thank you for answering my email and providing an update on Temple
St. The photographers index provides me with dates that will help in my
research.
I have not looked at Family search Wales 1881 census. I did look in the
1880 US census and did not find him.
If and when I find something, I will let you know. Good luck in your
research and thanks again for your help.

Hello Evelyn
Temple Street was completely destroyed in the three-nights bombing blitz in
1941, and after WW2 the street layout in the centre of Swansea was quite
different. The north side of modern Castle Square, along the side of David
Evans store, follows the line of Temple Street.
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Photographers.html may help you
identify the dates that this particular photographer flourished.
Have you looked on Familysearch Wales 1881 census or 1880 US census to find
Joseph OWEN born about 1869 in Swansea?
The extra middle names may have been added later in life for effect.
If you do, post again to the list with details and maybe we may be able to
track his family back.
Jeff
