Thanks for this suggestion, Jeff. No. As far as I can tell there is no
connection with Henry Chapman who was quite a leading figure in the Swansea
of his day - according to the local press. I have followed up a great many
Cambrian Index references at the British Library Newspaper Library in
Colindale. My Chapmans - see my website - seem to have come to Swansea from
Padstow.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Wales, Lee. I have had some very pleasant
trips there. I found the Glamorgan Archives at Swansea very helpful.

Are these connected to Henry CHAPMAN who had a photographer's shop in High
Street, Swansea in the 1870s? He turns up quite often in the 'Cambrian
