Now you have the approx age, the hard work begins.
1 Try previous census returns for the same area
2 Try using the Birth Marriage and Dead indices (used to be called the
Catherine House Records) searching these can be hard work.
3 Your best bet is to find their marriage, gues that it was within 2-3
years of the birth of the first child. These records are available at most
Family History centres in the UK, where are you based. Some overseas
centres also carry this info.

I have both names & the address from the 1881 sensus regarding my
gggrandparents and am stuck as to how I can get a copy of the birth
certificates for these persons. I only have the approx. year of birth.
