A great deal of material has been published by Glamorgan Family History
Society about Swansea area, details of membership and their research service
with a full list
of published indexes and transcriptions for sale can be seen on
http://www.glamfhs.org/ "
Notably recent CD indexes of the records of St. John juxta Swansea and
Llansamlet parishes, as well as the indexed registers of Swansea St. Mary
and most of the Gower parishes in booklet form. Also the Glamorgan pre-1837
Baptism and Marriage Indexes on CD, Glamorgan Quaker records, and
1841,1851,1861 censuses.
http://www.genfair.com/shop/pages/gla/index.html is one of two ways of
ordering online, the other being
http://www.parishchest.com/
It would seem sensible for LDS to concentrate first on indexing material
that it holds that has not already been indexed by some other body in a
readily-accessible form.

Pat
Will be indexing Swansea records?
I was previously a stake name extraction leader for several years in the
Eugene Oregon stake.
