1861 census folio 60 p15 - Foxhole, Llansamlet
John JONES Head 41 Copper Refiner b Glam Llansamlet
Sarah wife 37 b Glam Swansea
Jennet daur 9
Catherine daur 6
David son 5 all b Glam Llansamlet
No other children. I found two other John JONES heads of families, both Coal
Miners, but the rest of the details did not match.
Given where he lived, I would hazard a guess that he worked at Upper Bank,
Middle Bank or White Rock copper works, all three of which were active in
1851, the nearest date I have details of.

Subject: [Swansea] Jones in 1861 Llansamlet
If anyone has access to the 1861 census for Llansamlet and is willing
to
take
a look for me, I'd be much obliged. I am looking for this
family:
John JONES, head
[wife may be Sarah, age 39]
David, age 5
Catherine, age 7
Jennet, age 9
Ages should be close. There may be other children. The three children
listed
were born in Llansamlet.
