S 34 LEWIS MAGDALEN 20 (c1821) FEMALE SERVANT YES
They all seem to have been servants of James JAMES, a draper.
There was a Rachel LEWIS, grocer aged 62, in Wassail Street, Swansea in
1841.
Gellionen would have been part of the 'hamlet' of Rhyndwyclydach in
Llangyfelach parish, in the are of modern Clydach
There was no household in that area of her parents' age range called LEWIS
but several of her own generation. William LEWIS, 20, iron finer, at
Ynyspenllwch tinworks, Charles LEWIS 25 a male servant at Ynyspenllwch
House, a household headed by Lewis LEWIS 30, collier at Heollas, Clydach
west, John LEWIS, 25, labourer on Cathelyd Isaf farm, and Catherine LEWIS,
15, female servant in the household of William ROBERT, blacksmith, in
Clydach village.
