The nearest possibility I can find in 1861 census of Glamorgan is down as
Sophia DAVIES aged 8 born Sketty, which is in Swansea.

The address was actually near the centre of Sketty, on what is now Vivian
Road.
There is a birth of a Sophia DAVIES in Swansea Reg Dist in September quarter
1852, 11a 403 ( from FreeBMD)
I think that Charlotte may well have been living in Sketty ( then called
Cross Inn Village) in 1851 aged 21, with parents Thomas 43, a porter, born
Carmarthenshire, mother Margaret,35, born Glamorgan, and brothers Jonah 12
and Benjamin 10, both born Carmarthenshire. A possible Jonah seems to be in
lodgings in the Swansea Valley in 1861, but no sign of the rest.
It would be interesting to know if anyone can trace Sophia or Charlotte in
1871 or later. Or a baptism in Sketty, perhaps.
Having looked at a lot of Letitia, Lettice and similar DAVIES/DAVIS entries
in Glamorgan 1861 census, this the nearest I can come up with.
Hope this helps
Jeff

Subject: [Swansea] Letitia Sophia Davis born 1854
A long shot I know - but does anyone recognise Letitia Sophia Davis
born
1854 in Swansea.
Father Edward Davis, a cabinet maker, no idea who her mother might have
been.
She married in Workington, Cumberland in 1868 (apparently 14) a Joseph
Whitfield, my great Grandfather. Their first born child was born at 18
Garden Street, Swansea which might give a clue to her identity.
I cannot correctly identify a birth for her on the 1837 site.
Would be grateful for any help.
Kind regards, Pauline Thomas
