Did wonder if they were Barder a German name, a good few Germans followed the various
German kings and Queens we have had

Hi Tony
The BADDER family were not in Glamorgan for 1861 census.
I cannot see Thomas in 1851 Bristol census. Is there a possibility that the
surname might have been something less uncommon, like BADGER or BADER or
BIDDER ?
In 1851 at 21 Wellington Street, Swansea there was an Ann BADDER aged 62,
grocers widow, b Swansea, with her daughter Mary FLAGAN, bonnet maker,
married, also b Swansea
A Thomas BIDDER ,27, married, carpenter, b Bristol, was in lodgings in
Resolven with various rail labourers in 1851
