Reposting my MURPHY interests in Swansea as I have been away for some time:
This is the state of my knowledge so far:
My g.g.g.father was JOSEPH MURPHY, born in 1821 in Ireland.
He married Elizabeth GREGORY, born 1826.
Their children included:
EDWIN (b.1849 Abergaveny)
HENRY (b.1850 Neath).
HENRY MURPHY (above) married Mary MALONEY (b.1854).
Their children included:
ELIZA (b.1872 Swansea)
JOSEPH (b.1876 Liverpool)
ALEX (b.1878 Swansea, married Mary BEVAN, daughter of Augusta GLENDENNING).
NATHANIEL (1884-1884)
HENRY (1884-1963, married Dorothy Alice Louise Wingrove).
SARAH ANNE
EDWIN
LILLIAN (Married Reg Harvey)
ALFRED
CLIFFORD
MABEL
LOUISA (Married Jack Lewis)
AMY
ALEX MURPHY's children included WILLIAM MURPHY (my father) born in Mumbles.
Since I recently wrote several letters to Murphys in Swansea and area I got a reply from
one of my father's cousins, a son of the Henry in the longer list above.
Does any of this match up with anyone's lines?
Best Regards,
Kevin Murphy
