think I've managed to send out all the scanned photgraphs people asked for if
you've not received them please let me know so I can resend.
I'm just hoping I've sent them all properly as I must admit this is the first time
I've ever sent any attachments with my e-mails . [fingers 7 toes crossed I can tell
you]
So far no takers for the letters and paper work etc for
William MORRIS & his son George MORRIS
who were living at
345 Hagg Street,

during 1943/1945
as I have 14 letters from George A. MORRIS to his father William
1] Workers Register with details of medical examinations from 1935, 1937,& 1939
1] National Service enlistment /call up papers to the Territorial Army dated 19th June
1940 to the Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps , No 6 Training Centre, Skegness.
Just had a thought people might be interested in what the call up papers said I know I
was as I'd never seen one before now so thought I'd copy it out for those of us
interested
this states Registration No 55B 280
Dear Sir
In accordance with the National Service [Armed Forces] Act, 1939, you are called upon for
service in the Territorial Army and are required to present yourself on Thursday 27th
June 1940 between 9am -12noon or as early as possible thereafter on that day to the
Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps, No 6 Training Centre, Skegness, [Skegness being
nearest railway station]
a Travelling Warrant for your journey is enclosed .Before starting your journey you must
exchange the warrant for a ticket at the booking office named ,if possible this should be
done a day or two before you are due to travel.
A postal order for 4s in respect of advance of service pay is also enclosed.Uniform and
personnal kit will be issued to you after joining H.M.Forces. Any kit that you take with
you should not exceed an overcoat,change of clothes , stout pair of boots and personnal
kit, such as a razor,hair brush,tooth brush soap and towel.
Immediately on receipt of this notice you shoul inform your employer of the date upon
which youy are required to report for service
