Has anyone had any experience with using DNA testing to help confirm
relationships? Here is a link to one such company. Just curious about your
experience.

The company will send you a free (to keep) 26-minute video about the
testing. You can order it at the website. Mine came very quickly and it is
interesting, no matter what. Also, I am sure they will mail it overseas,
since their clients come from all over the world.
I have some questions, including: since there is more than one company
doing this,
if I submit my DNA to this one and a likely relative sends DNA
to a competitor, what's the point?
Also, it seems like it is much more helpful to males.
We may be getting some bones to test (from an old unmarked grave), but we
believe
our line is from a
father-son-son-daughter-son-daughter-daughter-daughter and the bones would
be a sibling or mother or grandmother of our direct ancestor. So I am not
sure it would show anything.
I might be interested in joining a Davis/Davies and/or Rees/Reese surname
test group, if anyone in South Wales is thinking about (or already) doing
this.
