Gray St. was not there in 1851, and is no longer there now, nor on my 1970s
map. There were a lot of GRAY names in Glamorgan 1851 - 118 to be precise.
Some in Swansea were from Northumberland. St.John-juxta-Swansea was a parish
just to the north of the centre of Swansea, within the borough of Swansea at
that time.

I wonder if SKS could do a look up in the 1851 or 1861 census at 1
Gray
St, St. John near Swansea. I found an Oliver GRAY living there in later
years. Is St. John a part of Swansea or close to it? Any help would be
appreciated.
With thanks.
