The most likely place to look, if he died in Swansea, is the Council
cemetery at Danygraig. As far as I know, neither St Joseph's nor St David's
RC Churches ever had burial grounds.
A google search on Swansea Cemeteries turns up a move in April 2004 of the
Cemeteries Department of the City and County of Swansea to Room G.4.3 at
County Hall, Oystermouth Road, Swansea SA1 3SN ,
The public can contact the office on a new number which is 01792-636481, if
you are in UK.

You will probably know that Patrick's death does not seem to be on FreeBMD
yet. If you do a search on a more common name like John CARR on FreeBMD for
a run of years in the 1870s you can work out which quarters have not been
done yet. For these you will need to look at copies of the death indexes on
fiche or microfilm, or try 1837online, for which of course there is a
charge.
