Hello, All!
I have a print out from the IGI of a marriage between a Thomas DAVIES and a Margaret REES,
performed on Nov. 7, 1836, at Merthyr Tydfil.
That is all the info I have--I do not have easy access to an LDS library to get the film.
I am just wondering if anyone else is looking for this couple or has info to share.
If this is MY line, they came to the US in the mid-1840s, but had 2 sons (at least 2 who
lived and arrived in the US with them)--David and William, both born in Wales. I have a
lot of info on the family once they arrived here, but do not know if this is the correct
marriage record.
I do know that Thomas DAVIES (he changed to DAVIS here) was a coppersmelter in Swansea
just before they left Wales. (Although, the exact location of the smelter may just have
been in the vicinity of Swansea.)
Thanks for any help in identifying these 2 people. Obviously, if they are in someone's
family as having stayed in Wales, they are not the ones I am looking for.
Thanks,
Mona
