Hi Pat,
Very interesting indeed!!
I am going to check out the Free BMD and Free Census of Glamorgan,ie Cardiff
and Swansea especially, and see if I can find him and his family.. His death
notice says that he was aged 68 (b.1881) and buried in the Western Cemetery,
Cardiff 3rd March, 1949, with Ellens burial 8th Sept, 1943 aged 54
years,( b.1889, this is correct). I have both burial documents which I
received from the Thornhill Bereavement Centre in Cardiff. when I had
planned to go to the UK and Ireland, so also have their last addresses.
Will let you know what I find.
I am thinking of offering to do some transcriptions for Cardiff/Swansea. But
when you are ready for more transcrips for Ireland, just let me know. This
is my hobby as I do not get out much these days.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Mary

Interesting, Mary, I have Phillips from Swansea. The family
emigrated
there from Redruth of Cornwall. They were shoe/bootmakers. My
William Phillips b 1820 in Swansea married John Owen.
