Hello,
I am trying to connect a THOMAS family in the UPPER WARD of Swansea Town.
I believe this family was a family of HOUSE CARPENTERS.
I am looking for an EDWARD THOMAS born Pembrokeshire 1839
I have reason to believe a LEWIS THOMAS born Glamoragan 1839 was his cousin.
I am trying to find EDWARD THOMAS and LEWIS THOMAS living together with Lewis's
parents in the (1851 Swansea Town census).
This is what I have so far:
1861 Wales Census RG 9/4106, Folio 96, pg 1
St. Johns, Upper ward, Swansea Town
No. 2 Mr. Jones Burying Ground
LEWIS THOMAS head, 22, Joiner
RACHEL :wife 22
MARGARET: Daught 2 mos
1861 Wales Census RG 9/4090, Folio 97,pg 8
Parish of Llanguick, Neath, Glamoragan ( I can't make out the District or the Hamlet)
No 42
EDWARD THOMAS: Lodger, unmarried, 21, House Carpenter, born Pembrokeshire
In 1868 EDWARD THOMAS ( SCOWCROFT) emmigrated to NEW YORK CITY
One note, I am making an educated assumption that my EDWARD THOMAS had dropped his real
surname SCOWCROFT, as he was raised by the THOMAS FAMILY in Sawnsea.
Thank you in advance,
