Hello Dianne,
I too would be very interested in the results of your query because I have a
David DAVIES who only appears in my researches aged 15 in the 1841 census
(so theoretically born about 1826, but allowing for the rounding in the 1841
census could conceivably be the same person) and a smith to boot!
I have the 1851 and 1861 census on CD-ROM but he's not with his parents and
with so many men with the name David DAVIES I cannot distinguish which one
he is; perhaps your working from the other direction will confirm whether it
is the same person or not.
Regards,
Greg Davies

Subject: [Swansea] Davies in Cockett,
Hi All, can anyone shed any light on this family, my great great
Grandad
was William John Davies, I know looking for Davies in Swansea is like
looking for a needle in a haystack, but I'm hoping that someone may have
access to the 51,61 or 71 census returns This is my hardest line to
follow
and I would appreciate any help.
Thanks Dianne in Canada,
