Hi Jeff
Thanks for the message.....I watched this video last evening, it was very
good although I would have loved to have seen more photographs of some parts
of the 'route'. (Always on the lookout for pics I have never seen before!)
Well done West Glamorgan Archives for an imaginative venture!

Subject: [WLS-SWANSEA] Swansea photos around 1908 in a new video
As most list members in Wales will be aware, the 'torch
relay' for the
2012
London Olympic Games will be in Wales from tomorrow Friday 25th for
several
days. It will be in Swansea on the evening of Saturday 26th and morning
of
Sunday 27th.
West Glamorgan Archives has put together a series of old photographs of
places on or near the route the torch will follow, mostly dating from
around
1908, to create a video imagining what the route would have been like if
there had been a torch relay for the 1908 London Olympics.
It can be found at the West Glamorgan Archives web site
www.swansea.gov.uk/westglamorganarchives/
or
http://www.swansea.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=49248
or at
http://youtu.be/BQ_9EME6h6g
It may be of interest to those whose families lived in or visited Swansea
in
the early 20th century.
Jeff
