Found on Ancestry.co.uk searching on name and death year 2005 only.
It is possible that he lived in Wales for years, then may have moved late in
life to be near relatives such as children or even grandchildren.
If your relative has any old addresses from old address books etc that
mighty be a way forward to finding any family. There is a faint chance that
searching a local newspaper for Blackpool area online you might turn up a
death notice with funeral arrangements which might mention family members.
It is also possible to order a death certificate by post from the local
registrar. See
and links from it.
Best wishes
Jeff

Thank you Jeff. In the future, I must remember about the dates.
Since you
pointed that out, the death date was given to me by a descendant in
Ireland
so now I'm thinking you are correct and he died in October. May I ask
where
you found the death date?
Thank you,
Maureen Sausen

I assume that most Americans would see 5/10/2005 as 10th of May when it
was
almost certainly 5th of October 2005, the usage in most of the rest of the
world.
There was only one Harry McCann died in 2005 . He was born on 29 April
1918, and died in Blackpool Registration district, Lancashire, England in
October 2005
If you order a death certificate from GRO the reference is Register number
B22D and District and sub-district 581/1B, entry number 5
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp tells you how
to
order certificates using reputable debit and credit cards. I think there
are
other ways of ordering by post.
If you order a death certificate through commercial channels you may pay 3
times as much.
Blackpool is not in Wales
Anyway, best wishes
Jeff
