There were several other Rowland WILLIAMS appearing. A Rev. Dr. Rowland
Williams left his library to the town of Swansea. And a Rowland Williams who
kept the 'Hare' beerhouse in Back Street was prosecuted for not adhering to
legal opening hours, lost his license and became bankrupt.
He appears twice in the Swansea Mariners database , on the Isabella and the
Kildonan.

He does not appear in the Welsh Mariners database,

Subject: [WLS-SWANSEA] Captain Rowland Williams
Hi Listers
I am looking for information regarding a Capt. Rowland Williams. Rowland
Williams was Master and Commander (Masters Cert. 48279) of several
merchant ships that were considered to be "Cape Horner's" one was The
Isabella. Sign on date: Aug. 8, 1864
He was born abt. 1817 in Littlehampton, England, but lived in Swansea, I
believe he was married three times.
Thank you,
Carolyn Stewart
