I know the SIEMENS Works in Landore,Swansea provided plate for the building of the Forth Bridge, can anyone tell me if they,or another Swansea Works, sent bridge builders to South America in the late 1870's/early 80's?
My great grandfather was a mason, living in Landore in the 1871 census, but had gone before 1881.
He is supposed to have gone as a " bridge builder" to QUEBRADA MINE, in VENEZUELA or COLOMBIA, & died there, but I haven't been able to identify when.
Where would I be able to find the information?
