Jane, I checked my records and found no Watkins or Wadkin surnames therein.
Should you connect along the line with surname Owen I can help a little
there. You might also post to Powys-L list (see bottom of page) to achieve
broader exposure.

Subject: [WLS-RAD] Watkin or Watkins family.
Hello everyone!
I currently subscibe to other Rootsweb lists, but I'm hot on the trail of
an ancestor who may have been born in Knighton, Radnorshire, and I wonder
if anybody could point me in the right direction to find her birth date
and parents' names.
She is called Sarah Watkin (or Watkins) and according to her marriage
certificate was born circa 1816. Her father was called Edward and was a
carpenter. She married in 1840, in Buckinghamshire and in the 1841 census,
I can only find one Edward who was anything to do with carpentry (he was a
cabinet maker and wood turner). He wasn't born in Wales, and was living in
Shropshire, but those children who were still living with him were born in
Knighton, Radnorshire. I would love to have a welsh ancestor to add to my
collection, so if anybody could help I would be very grateful.
Regards,
Jane Watson.
