Margaret
Thanks for the info on Llanbadarnfynydd. I should have thought to use a
wildcard. I was assuming I would pick up everything starting with
Llanbadarn.
On looking through the 1881 census I noticed there were BOUNDS in
Llanbadarnfynydd but I assume you have seen them for yourself. I can't
remember any details but just remember the name.
As you know from our previous correspondence my cousin and I are interested
in the LEWIS family in Llanbadarnfynydd. Could you let me know which Joseph
was married to Mary LEWIS so that if we come across any connections we can
contact you.
I am hoping to visit the area in the autumn and any advance info would be
useful.

Hi,
I am researching my Bound family in Radnorshire.
According to the marriage certificate of my great, great grandfather Joseph
Bound he was the son of a Joseph Bound. The 1841 Census shows that Joseph,
jnr was born in the County of Radnor, the 1851 details state it was
Llanbadarn, Radnorshire. On the 1861 it says St. Harmon with an added
question mark. It seems as if he didn't know where he was born. I have his
death certificate, he died in Llanidloes in 1863 and there is no clue there.
I have failed to find an M.I. for him in the Llanidloes area.
I have hit the proverbial brick wall at this point as I have failed to find
a record for Joseph at Llanbadarn Fawr. I will next have to look at
Llanbadarn Fynydd.
I would be grateful if anyone with access to M.I.s for Radnorshire could let
me know if they have come across a Joseph Bound who could be the father of
Joseph who was born c1810. It has even crossed my mind that Llanbadarn Fawr
could have been Llanafan fawr in Breconshire with a mistake being made by
the enumerator. He could have misheard Llanafan for Llanbadarn and then
automatically added Radnorshire. The family of Mary Lewis wife of Joseph
originated from Llanafan fawr and I know there was a Bound family in that
parish.
You will see I am "clutching at straws" and would be grateful if any one
comes across a Joseph Bound if they could let me know the details, however
flimsy they seem.
Regards,
Margaret Harvey
