Hi Margaret
Don't know if this is a connection to your Hamers or not but thought I'd let
you know about it - it is a bit later than the dates you mention.
I am almost 100% sure that my g.g. grandfather (Thomas Davies - born about
1795 at Nantmel) was a son of Richard & Ann (nee Hamer) They were married
about 1779 - I have a copy of their marriage bond but can't put my hand on
it at present.
I would be interested in knowing if Ann Hamer fits in with your data
somewhere.

Subject: [WLS-RAD] Hamer ancestors
Hi everyone,
I have been looking through information on my Hamer ancestors which was
sent to me
some time ago by the late Dorrie Carver who was considered the
expert on the Hamer families in mid Wales. An Abraham Hamer who lived at
Pabpllwyd, Llanbadarn Fynydd, Radnorshire was the brother to Richard and
John who were both my 6 x great grandfathers (Richard's son Abraham married
his first cousin Sarah the daughter of John). Descendants of Abraham of
Pabpllwyd lived at Cantal, Llanbister, Radnorshire and Pantpoeth, Llandinam,
Montgomeryshire. Abraham's grandson Richard became Vicar of Beguildy. I
have not done much research on Abraham's descendants and would like to know
more about them.
I have mainly researched the family of Richard Hamer and have little
on
the descendants of John his brother who died intestate at the Cwm, Llandinam
in 1771. Other siblings of Richard, John and Abraham were Margaret, Abel,
Sarah and Henry and their parents were Abraham and Sarah (surname unknown)
Hamer. This Abraham was born c1654 in Llandinam and died there on the 15th
July, 1716
I would be delighted to hear from anyone with connections to these
Hamers.
Regards,
Margaret Harvey
