Hi Dawn
Powys-L archives should contain a series of transcriptions relating
to the families of certain Welsh people who emigrated to Patagonia -
transcribed from a book 'Reunion de familias en el sur' written by
an inhabitant of Patagonia Albina Jones de Zampini.
'Cronicl Powys', the journal of Powys FHS, issue #52, April 2001
contains the text of a lecture given at the Powys FHS AGM 2000
entitled 'Powys to Patagonia'. It gives a background to the founding
of the colony and includes genealogical details of a good number of
emigrants.
Some of the sources used were:
'Gwladfa Patagonia' R Bryn Williams
'Yr Hiraeth' Elvey MacDonald
'Reunion de f...' mentioned above
'Llafur 5'
'Y Drafod'.

Subject: The Welsh in Patagonia.
Is anyone aware of a site or e-mail address where in the names of
the Welsh
immigrants of the 1870-1880 are listed, or the site of a family
history
society in Patagonia.
Any information would be appreciated.
Dawn Smith.
