Hi Ann,
David & Jane Williams of Dolmynach Cwmdeuddwr are my relations and in 1901
are aged 57 &58. They did not have a son named Samuel so looks as if this
will lead nowhere.
In the 1881 census there are only three Samuels born 1870 +- 3 years in
Cardiganshire
Samuel T. born 1870 at Llangoedmore CDG, mother Sarah father not listed but
a carpenter by trade.
5427 Folio 16 Page 13.
Samuel Age 12 born Blaenporth CDG, Father Dennis (Police Constable) mother
Anne 5442 F29 P4.
Samuel born 1871 Llandisilliogogo CDG. Grandson of Elizabeth Evans 5441 F17
P5.
You do not say where his marriage took place, it would be worth checking
this area and the local parishes.
Hope this will help.

Lloyd

Subject: WILLIAMS
Good morning everyone, I am new to this list and I hope someone can
help.
I am searching for my ancestor Samuel WILLIAMS, who, when he became a
merchant seaman, said he was born in Cardigan in 1870. When he married
in
1888, he gave his age as 21, making his birth year around 1867.
Cardigan Register office can't find him , neither can Haverfordwest.
His father was named on his marriage cert. as David (deceased labourer),
one
of the witnesses was a Jane Williams, so I did an LDS search for a
David
Williams with a spouse Jane, and came up with one in Cwmteuddwr.
I understand that Radnorshire is close to Cardiganshire, so I wonder if
this
could be the family I am looking for.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards
Ann
