I am interested to learn whether any children were baptised at
Llangunllo to William and Ann PRICE post l791.
I have been given the marriage of a William PRICE to Ann PRICE at
LLANGUNLLO, Radnorshire, on 2nd May l791. I have also found a marriage
for a William PRICE to an Ann CHANCE at Eardisley on l5.8.l803 - but
these may be two totally unrelated William PRICEs!
It is possible that William and one of the Anns moved to Lyonshall,
Herefordshire.
We do know that Thomas PRICE was born in Lyonshall in l804 s/o William
and Ann PRICE and that a William and Ann PRICE had these other sons
there too:
John PRICE, bap. l799 Lyonshall (poss. died infant?)
William PRICE, bap. l807 Lyonshall
James PRICE, bap. l807 Lyonshall
John PRICE, bap. l8l2 Lyonshall (poss. died Lyonshall l835 aged 21 -
NBI)
The reason that we believe the first couple may be Thomas's parents is
that Thomas marries Ann MORGAN at Llungunllo in l826 (with banns being
read in his home parish of Lyonshall). So did he maintain links with
his parents' parish?
Just to confuse matters, when Thomas and Ann's children were baptised at
Lyonshall between l829 and l842 they were all named "PREECE" - possibly
a misunderstanding by the local registrar?
If anyone has any information on the PRICE families of Llangunllo (RAD)
and Lyonshall (HEF) I would be very pleased to hear from you.
Regards
