Diane,
Might I suggest you subscribe to the Powys mailing list which is the main list covering
the 3 counties of Breconshire, Radnorshire & Montgomeryshire and repost your query
there? List activity on the county lists has slowed significantly in recent months and
most people with overlapping interests in this area have remained active on the Powys
list. We're encouraging everyone to join us there so as to reach a wider pool of
fellow researchers who are eager to help.
By the way, you may wish to look for the baptism on
www.1837online.com if no one is able
to access baptisms as late as 1887 (usually unlikely). You must subscribe to that site
and purchase a minimum amount of 'units' but you can also use a credit card to
order the certificate.
Here is the website which includes all details for the Powys list:

Subject: [WLS-RAD] JONES Rhulen
I am interested in a baptism for a Blanch[e] Ethel JONES born in Rhulen between July and
September l887. I am hoping to be able to confirm that she was the illegitimate daughter
born there to Annie JONES.
I believe Annie may have married Albert Thomas POWELL of Lyonshall the following year
and that she sadly died aged only 26 in l889. She is possibly buried at Rhulen.
I believe Annie may have been brought up by the JAMES family of Rhulen. I have found
her aged 7 on the l87l Census as a "nurse child" and boarding with the same
JAMES family on the l88l Census.
