Found these Llanbister Buftons in the South Ugre manorial court rolls-
1833 the death of John Bufton of the Knap & Duffryn.
Fined for encroaching on crown lands were:
1840 & 1850 John Bufton of Hill top Bronllys township
1841 John Bufton Church township
1841 John Bufton, labourer, ?Bryndhir tenement Bronllys
1841 James Bufton shoemaker Bronllys
1843 James Bufton Brynganllwyd Church township
1846 James Bufton Bronllys
1848 Thomas Bufton Bronllys
also a couple in the 1798 land tax for the parish,
Edward Bufton assessed at £1 2shillings & John paying 4shillings
