Hi Marion
There are a few places to find out info on the employees of The Great
Western Railway.
Type 'Great Western Railway Employee's into Google and it will take you to
numerous sites
Also a book 'Was your Grandfather a Railwayman?' published by the FFHS cost
£6.95
ISBN 1 86006 161 3. Give the ISBN number to any good bookstore and they
will be able to advise on availability.
Hope this will help.
Regards

Subject: [WLS-RAD] DAVID THOMAS JONES
I think I am still on the Radnor list.
My search is for my great-grandfather, David Thomas Jones, born abt
June1850 at
Llanfaredd to another David Jones and his wife.
He was in the 1851 census, age 9 months, with Catherine Jenkins and
her
daughter Elinor Jenkins at Llandewi Cwm.
David and a Mary James were children at nurse.
I would like to have his birth certificate and so be able to trace his
family.
He married a Mary Hannah Rees at Bristol in 1870 and was on the 1871
census living at 13 Tower Street, Temple.
1872 living at 2 Harcourt Street, Bedminster.
He was an engine driver with the Great Western Railway.
I have no information about him from 1877.
Help most gratefully received.
Marion O'Sullivan.
