Well, you could try Denbighshire record office for a start. There's a
link on the council web site at
http://www.denbighshire.gov.uk/
The local record office should have court records for the whole county.
There are also army records, but I don't know anything about them.
You might find the Clwyd list more useful - Denbighshire was part of the
new county of Clwyd while that existed, & there are far more people on
that list than this one.
If Thomas married between 1837 & 1847 (& from the age you give that
seems very likely), the marriage should be in the civil registration
records.

www.1837online.com has searchable facsimiles of the
original index online - but you have to pay for that one. It's a pity he
had such a common name.
