The posting of members' interests looks very interesting. I've gone as far
as I can with censuses, and I need to start looking at parish registers. My
main interest is in my MORGAN family. They were living at St Harmon up until
the 1871 census, then moved east sometime during the 1870s (then appearing
in a different village in almost every census) to Llangynllo, Llandegley,
Llanfihangel Rhydithon. Family occupations were mainly agricultural
labourers, and later also railway platelayers.
This is the earliest mention:
1841 census, St Harmon (Kennarth):
MORGAN, Lloyd, 35, (or MORGANS)
(His children were baptised at Sychnant Presbyterian chapel)
MORGAN, Mary, 35
MORGAN, Mary, 12
MORGAN, Lloyd, 11
MORGAN, Edward, 8
MORGAN, John, 6
MORGAN, Jane, 4
MORGAN, Ann, 2
Regards,
Michael Morgan.
