hi all,
as I'm new to the list, I'll introduce myself before posting my interests and
questions:
I'm Mair, I live in Bridgend, Glamorgan, originally from Pencoed (bad to
worse!!)
my Grandmother (EVANS) was born in the Ogmore Valley and the REYNOLDS family
also made this Valley their home.
here are the families, if you recognise anyone or know any gossip about
them!!!! I'd love to hear from you:
EVANS
Thomas EVANS b.1874, Clyro, Radnorshire
married: 1901, Bridgend, Glamorgan
Sarah Maria REYNOLDS, b. 1876, Michaelston-Super-Avon, Glamorgan
Children, all born Ogmore Vale, Glamorgan: (Bridge Street?)
William Henry EVANS b.1902, Ivor Thomas EVANS b.1903,
Mirium Melita Evans b.1905 (<~Grandmother) Florence Mary EVANS b.1907,
Margaret Dwynwen EVANS b. 1909, Doris May EVANS b.1910,
Dillwyn Glyndwr EVANS b.1913, Sarah Maude EVANS b.1915
REYNOLDS
Henry REYNOLDS b. 1841, Llandogo, Monmouthshire

Margaret ROBERTS, b. 1842, Michaelston-Super-Avon, Glamorgan
Children:
William H REYNOLDS, b. 1867, Michaelston

Elizabeth W REYNOLDS, b. 1872, Michaelston
Thomas J REYNOLDS, b. 1875, Bridge St, Llangeinor(?)
Sarah Maria REYNOLDS, b. 1876 Bridge St, Llangeinor(?) (<~Grandmother)
Fabe/Pheobe/Faye(?)REYNOLDS, b. 1880, Bridge St, Llangeinor(?)
Mary Ann REYNOLDS, b. 1892, Bridge St, Llangeinor(?)
I have question marks next to:
Bridge Street, Llangeinor: I have been informed that Bridge Street is
actually Ogmore Vale?
Fabe!! a very unusual name!! possibly Pheobe, which is a name in the
family, or even Faye, not a name in the family but it's just changing one
letter!
I know Mirium Melita EVANS married Edward WILLAMS (better known as Ned) and
they owned the shop on Blackmill Road, Bryncethin, but would anyone know the
dates of this ownership?
well, I've probably bored you all enough for now!!
thanks for listening,
love to see everyone's families posted,
Mair xx
