Huw,
Yes, I would be interested to help. How about the article on "Schoolmasters
at War" in our Journal 2001 page 31 as a start.

Subject: [WLS-OGMORE-VALLEY] Celebrating the Achievements of Ogmore School
Hi All,
Ogmore Comprehensive School are planning a day of celebration
to mark the amalgamation with Ynysawdre School sometime in July 2011.
They have set up a committee (to which I have been seconded, apparently)
and they are looking for ideas on how/what they can do to celebrate all
that was good about Secondary education (both Grammar and Secondary
Modern) in the Ogmore Valley through the various fore runners of the
school from 1910 until the present day.
Naturally they will be looking to invite former pupils and staff so if
you know anyone who would be interested in attending please feel free to
pass this information on and when I have more definite news on date,
time etc I will post here.....
Can you also let me know of any famous ex pupils (or anyone that has
achieved something significant), from the school to add to our list in
case I miss anyone out:-)
