Hi Taffy,
Apologies for the delay in responding, been away on hols
:-)
We have a few items on the "SPEDDING" family which may be or interest to
you.....
A signed photo of "Will Spedding", which in my notes I have down as
being awarded the Military Medal, but no other details as yet.
We have a copy of the 1918 Welcome Home programme for Saron Chapel
Nantymoel which mentions one Ll. Spedding (Lllewellyn) in the roll of
honour as having survived the Great War.
We also have the Roll Of Honour from Saron Chapel which again mentions
Llewellyn Spedding of the 13th Battalion, Welsh Regiment.
Only one SPEDDING listed as buried in Blaenogwr Cemetery in Nantymoel as
follows:
201 3Z/5 44 Spedding Hannah 39 Dec 29 1933
There are no "SPEDDINGS" listed as buried in Pwll-y-pant Cemetery,
Ogmore Vale.
I have looked but cannot find any SPEDDING`s in the School Admission
Registers in Nantymoel (we only have from 1913) or in ogmore (from
1870). Unless of course all the children were past school age when they
arrived in the valley?
I can send copies of the images mentioned above but not via this list,
if you contact me I will give you details.....
Regards

Hi,
thanks for your response. It was Maldwyn Spedding son of my Uncle Toms older brother that
you mentioned. His father was William{Bill} and the family moved to Barry.
I have only a couple of family pictures but hope to piece together a tree . Its my cousin
Carol Speddings 70th birthday and I'm trying to get family bits and bobs together.
Would you have a school photo with him on????
thanks you once again for your reply
