Margaret,
Perhaps I spoke to soon -- I had another look at the other enumeration
districts and found this entry -- you didn't mention the age of your George
KEARN, so perhaps this is the one you're looking for.
1851 Census, Parish of Buttington (Montgomery Enumeration District):
KEARN, William h m 51 farmer 20 acres MGY Berriew /f506/p13
KEARN, Mary w m 61 MGY Welshpool /f506/p13
KEARN, Jane d u 20 MGY Berriew /f506/p13
KEARN, George gs 8 scholar MGY Llandysil /f506/p13
Additionally, the following KEARN girls were servants in the parish of
Llandysilio but born in Berriew, so perhaps related to the family in
Buttington, above:
KEARN, Eliza sv u 24 house maid MGY Berriw Pentretylin hall /f527/p14
KEARN, Sarah sv u 31 nurse MGY Berriw Pentretylin hall /f527/p14
That's it for KEARN's in Montgomeryshire in 1851.
Regards,
Julie Preston
