David,
In 1891 your family of Jones were in Churchstoke as follows:
RG12/4595 Churchstoke, Montgomeryshire. (Address washed out)
Charles JONES Head age 31, Farm labourer, born Newcastle, Salop
Betsie JONES Wife, age 36, born Clun, Salop
Albert JONES son age 10, scholar, born Churchstoke, Mont.
Charles JONES son age 6, scholar, born Churchstoke.
George JONES son age 4, born Churchstoke,
Elizabeth JONES daughter age 1, born Churchstoke.
A few anomalies which can easily be attended to:
Betsie/Elizabeth = same.
Charles says he is born Mainstone in 1881 but Newcastle in 1891. So what! Just down the
road from each other.
The family Julie found in 1881 is the only link that is available via the census and I
agree with it but the name of the first child doesn`t tally - Edward A instead of Albert
E?
Here`s a thought - Edward A is 2 months old. There is a possibility that Edward A died
as an infant and the next born has been named the same (as was sometimes a naming pattern)
but with the names changed around. Does that make sense to you?
I have the 1891 image if you want it.
Regards, Keith Roberts.

David,
The entry below appears to be "your" Charles & Elizabeth Jones in 1881 and
should provide you with plenty of clues to follow-up (suggest their marriage probably took
place in late 1880 or early 1881 at Clun or Lydham, and the birth certificate for Edward
A(lbert) will provide you with Elizabeth's maiden name).
Someone else may have the 1891 Census for Churchstoke.

Hi all
I know it is a long shot but we are trying to trace my wifes JONES family and wondered if
there is anyone researching or has connections to them.
On the 1901 CENSUS
Charles ( born 1859 ) and Elizabeth ( born 1856 ) JONES were at Cwm Cottage , Castle
wright Churchstoke
Living with them were son George JONES aged 14 born Churchstoke
daughter Elizabeth JONES aged 11 born Churchstoke
Their 2 eldest sons were Albert Edward JONES born 1881 and Charles JONES born 1885.. they
were
working as farm labourers at Argoed Farm Churchstoke.
Any help or information would be gratefully received
Thankyou
Dave Sheldon.
Keith and Julie
Thanks for the information on the JONES.
With regard to Albert Edward JONES , this is my wifes grandfather and we do know a bit
about him ... that he went through life using both names usually he was Albert E JONES
but some knew him as Edward A JONES.
We are hoping someone else may be researching this family as we know nothing about Albert
Edwards brothers and sister.
Regards
Dave.
