Becky,
I may be wrong, but I've read quite a bit about Queen Victoria and have
never noted any connection to Wales --- I would think the 'Queen's Horses'
would've been stabled in the mews of one of the main residences -- Windsor,
for instance -- as well as at Balmoral, Scotland. Perhaps your ancestor was
a groom who got a job in the Royal household?

Subject: Queen's horses
Hello, a family member tells me that our ggrandfather worked with
the
Queen's horses. I am wondering
if there is a farm around the Llandinam area that would have stabled the
Queen's horses. The time
would have been about 1870's.
Does anyone have any information? The census for 1851 shows my
ggrandfather
about 10 years old
and census location was "Hafodfrath" if that has meaning.
Thanks!
