I know the Welsh word for Upper and Lower, as in Upper Weston, Lower

are very close!

Hi Millie,
Upper is "uchaf" (but sometimes seen as "ucha").
Lower is "isaf" (but sometimes seen as "isa") - "issa" is an
Anglicised
misspelling.
Uchaf is pronounced "ick-av" (the "ck" sounds like the "ch"
in Scottish
"loch")
Isaf is pronounced "iss-av"
Aurally, the two words could easily become confused if the "ch" isn't
properly voiced - perhaps that's what's happened with "Ffwrwm Ishta"?
Best wishes,
John
