Bernard,
I looked for any George TOY's in Scotland so thought I'd pass this on -- may
come in handy in the future. Note: 119 persons named TOY(E) in the Lowland
Counties in 1881, but no George's -- 60 persons in the Highland Counties in
1881 (most in County Forfar).

Subject: 1881 Census Look-up Please
Hi Listers,
I'm trying to locate two families that arrived in New York on May 16,
1907.
WOOSENCRAFT, Thomas 37yrs British ( Welsh ) b. Llandiloe, Wales
WOOSENCRAFT, Mary ( nee TOY ? ) 37yrs British ( Welsh ) b. Welshpool,
Wales
At the time of the 1881 Census they would have been about 11yrs, and I
think Llandiloe should be Llanidloes. Travelling with them was a George (
Christopher ? ) TOY who was 21yrs who indicated his birthplace as
Llandiloe. He's not going to be on the census, but the odd thing is that
when he came to Arizona his vital records show that he and his parents
were born in SCOTLAND. ( Glasgow ? )
Unless there are two George TOY's, possibly related, that came to America
about the same time, who happen to have had a Welsh and Scottish
connection. Perhaps the census may reveal something.
Regards,
Bernard
