Annie Morris, born about 1837, is my great grandmother, married, about
1860, to John H. Jones, born Sept. 10, 1826.
I think they were married in Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire, Wales. Notes I
have state that John H Jones was born at Gungrog Lane (Terrace),
Guilsfield, Llanfyllin, Llansaintffraid, Wales, better known as Welshpool,
Montgomeryshire, Wales. And since Annie was born at Newtown, Montgomery,
Wales, I was hoping you may have some information about her, or John H Jones.
Thanks, and best luck on your search, Chas.

Hi Chas,
Your Lewis MORRIS being a Llansantfraidd ym Mechain chappie of around 1833
caught my attention, and as Julie Preston found his parents on the MGY 1851
census at Winllan my old and time ravaged ears pricked up even more as he was
probably a good mate of my dear old gg uncle John ROBERTS who was born 1834
in Plas Gwyn, the next door farm to Winllan!
I have quite a lot of Llansantfraidd information, have kindly been given
loads of gedcoms of Llansantfraidd records over the years and can tell you
that your MORRIS`s are almost as prolific as us ROBERTS`s in the area!!
Lewis`s parents are Peter and Jane MORRIS nee LEWIS. They were married in St.
Ffraids Church on 2nd. January 1821. Peter is a Llanyblodwel chap and there
lies another story as my ggg, my gggg, and my gggggrandfathers were all born
there. It`s just down the road from Llansantfraidd but is over the border in
Shropshire. A lovely, lovely place. Lewis has 7 siblings but I won`t bore the
list any more and will contact you off list with lots more about your family.
Regards, Keith Roberts, Conwy.
