Lois,
I don't have the 1891 Census, but the 1851 Census for Montgomeryshire (CD
pub. by the Powys FHS) shows Pendalog was a 200 acre farm:
OWENS, Mary h w 70 farmer 200 acres DEN Wrexham Pendalog /f382/p22
OWENS, Richard s u 47 at home MGY Llangyniew Pendalog /f382/p22
OWENS, William s u 30 at home MGY Llanfechan Pendalog /f382/p22
DAVIES, Elizabeth gd u 24 dairy maid MGY Llanfechan Pendalog /f382/p22
WILLIAMS, Margaret sv u 13 house servant MGY Llanrhaiadr Pendalog /f382/p22
JONES, John sv u 26 . MGY Llanfyllin Pendalog /f382/p22
WOODIN, Thomas sv u 20 . MGY Llanfyllin Pendalog /f382/p22
DAVIES, David sv u 17 . MGY Llanfechan Pendalog /f382/p22
BADGER, David sv u 15 . DEN Llangedwin Pendalog /f382/p22
If you already have the 1881 Census entry, it does show Pen Dolag was a farm
(see Agnes CARRICK's occupation):

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could give me more information on Pen Dalog?
I have CARRICK and MCWILLIAM families there on the 1881 census.
Is Pen Dalog a village or a farm?
Are there any directories for the area before or after the 1881 census?
Would SKS be able to look them up on the 1891 census?
Thanks,
Lois.
