The IGI has partial transcripts of the registers of a nonconformist chapel
which it calls Norton Hall Or Maengwyn Chapel Maengwyn
Street-Calmachynlleththodist, Machynlleth, Montgomery, Wales. I assume that
the last part of this rather mangled name refers to Maengwyn Street CM chapel
in Machynlleth.
When the IGI refers to chapels as One Name OR Another Name, it usually means
that the register that they have copied from covered a mother chapel and some
of its satellites, so it is possible that Norton Hall is a different CM
chapel to the one in Maengwyn Street. If this is, indeed, the case, does
anybody know where Norton Hall is or was?
All the best
