Rose,
When you say "there were several people of the same name born around the same time
with the same
father's name", do I infer correctly that you've checked the microfilm of the
Bishop's Transcript for the parish of Carno and come up with several possibilities or
are you using baptism entries listed in the IGI and have not checked the BT's? Also,
what is the source for your supposition that his father was also a Thomas WILLIAMS?

Subject: WILLIAMS/HUGHES--CARNO early 1800s
Hello list,
I am returning to a brick wall once again in hopes of finding something new.
I am researching Thomas WILLIAMS who married Susannah HUGHES in CARNO 12
Nov 1814. Susannah's parents were David Hughes and Hannah Jones of Carno.
Thomas' birth information, however, is uncertain. He was born around 1785
and his father was supposed to also be Thomas Williams; however, there were
several people of the same name born around the same time with the same
father's name. His marriage record does not add any information that would
solve the problem. So, my question:
What other records should I look at to help me figure out which Thomas
Williams is mine?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
