Linda,
(Sorry, I called you 'Lynn' in the previous reply).
I don't know if you have your Ellis ROBERTS' family from the 1881 Census so here
they are -- apparently, Margaret must've died and Ellis remarried. Notice this son,
David, also became a tailor and was born in Bala, MER, so that puts the family there by
1857 so that's where you'd want to look for them in the 1861 and 1871 census
returns (also available from the LDS).

Subject: ROBERTS
My Gr-Gr Grandfather was Ellis ROBERTS who was born in Machynlleth and he married a
Margaret CHARLES. who I believe was born in 1826 .now what I need to know and if someone
would be so kind as to do a look-up on the 1851 Census and possibly the 1871 Census if
they had any other children besides my Gr-Grandfather , William ROBERTS who was born May
13,1850 in Machynlleth,Montgomeryshire, Ellis Roberts I believe was a Hobbler or a
Tailor......think he may of done both at one time or another. I do know that his son,
William ROBERTS became a Tailor. Any help in regards to a look-up for me would really be
appreciated. I am not at all familiar with Machynlleth and the area since I live in the
USA. Really am not sure how to find this information out.Thank you so much.
Regards,
Linda
