Marjorie,
I'd recommend posting to the Powys list, as well, as there are many listers
who have overlapping research interests in all 3 Powys counties -- you may
well reach someone who's not subscribed specifically to the Montgomeryshire
list.
As far as the beneficiaries listed in David's will, I would think the names
would, ultimately, be of use to you and anyone else researching FRANCIS and
the families listed on the will. It would be good to post that information
to the Powys list, as well.
Regards,
Julie Preston

Subject: DAVID FRANCIS - CARNO
Hi Keith Roberts, Julie Preston and List,
Thanks for the replies to my query about DAVID FRANCIS. I have the 1851
census CD
rom, but unfortunately David does not appear on it. However, there
is a FRANCIS family at Peikin as Keith points out.
Just as a matter of interest the beneficiaries of David's will proved
25/2/1892
included 'cottages called Refel in Parish of Llanllwchaiarn, with
5 acres to 4 nephews'-
John JONES of Castle Cutta, Llandinam, Farmer,
Evan JONES of Guilsfield Parish, Farmer,
Ed. FRANCIS of Perkins, Carno, Farmer,
Abiah MORGAN of Rhiewhiereth, Llanfair Caerenion, Farmer.
Is this info of use to anyone?
Also, can anyone advise what's the best thing to do regarding the Monts.
List
and the Powys List, should I post messages about Monts. onto both
lists?
Cheers
Marjorie
